What is Mental Fitness?

Mental fitness
 is our capacity to respond to life’s challenges with a positive rather than a negative mindset.

As a result we build confidence and resilience, improve focus, reach high performance,
and by reducing stress and preventing burnout we create holistic mental and relational wellbeing.

Ultimately, it helps us fulfil our true potential faster and succeed in business / career with more ease, while also strengthening our relationships in work as well as private life. 

But even more importantly it helps us create balance and wellbeing for ourselves by enhancing our abiltiy to manage stress, align with our vision and purpose, and bring our best self to everything we do. 


What is self-sabotage?

To build our physical fitness we exercise our body and muscles. The same way we can also strengthen our mental fitness by exercising our mental muscles, building new neuropathways and develop our mind in order to empower ourselves, transform our response to challenges and achieve the positive outcomes we want in our lives.

Saboteurs are the voices in our head (beliefs, fears, assumptions etc) that generate negative emotions in the way we handle life’s everyday challenges and slowing us down, keeping us stuck and in some cases make us go into overdrive in various ways. Ultimately, creating overwhelm, stress, anxiety and outcomes we don't want. 

​They represent automated patterns in our mind that determine how we think, feel, and respond to the challenges in life.
Further feeding our frustration, guilt, shame, anxiety and self-doubt. As a result, they sabotage our performance, wellbeing, and relationships.

The Saboteur Assessment and corresponding Mental Fitness methods have been developed by Shirzad Chamine of Positive Intelligence (Neuroscientist, Standord Professor, ex-CEO and Chair of the Coaching Institute), based on their science based research and root case analysis aimed to discover the core factors that impact performance and wellbeing.

Over 500,000 high achievers have taken part in the research (including leaders of all Fortune 100 companies, world class athletes, Stanford students and more) that revealed the 10 foundational negative response factors (10 Saboteurs) and only 5 positive response factors (5 Sage powers) that determine the level of our success, wellbeing and happiness.
